the house lights turned off. the darkness idled the excitement of the viewers. the anticipation, tangible. and then the show began.
the 30-foot Philippine flag deployed in all its majesty from the railings above the Macias Sports and Cultural Complex, resonating pride to all who were there. around 200 participating students from different colleges gave a very unforgettable competition riddled with serious advocates, thought provoking videos, and transpiring ideas.
the goal is met: to deliver a spectacular show with a profound concept that involved people to work for the preservation of the environment. the challenge is obvious - identifying the environmental problem to the students. the direction is clear - to mobilize the students to work for the environment. the cheer is loud - help save our only earth.
in the end, the students came out driven to make a difference, like the new set of winners, CCS, CED, and SUCN, as well as the CAS and COE. a mangrove reforestation activity was successful thanks to them. make the best out of your experiences because what we want is a living earth for our future children, not something else. and to make all of these happen? YOU are needed.
