The Fall

Sipping tea while reading a good book is all I need to take in the first official day of Autumn.

It is as if the heavens decided that today would be the start of Autumn seeing that a cool breeze and a helping of rain have come to celebrate the day, too. I must admit that I have always imagined myself doing exactly what I just did today. The weather back home never got around to give me the perfect opportunity to just sit back by a window to sip some hot drink with a good book on the other hand.

This is the life.

I CANNOT wait for the leaves to turn gold. I swear I will be arrested with its beauty. char...

In a sudden change of season comes with it a complementary change of sound and light. There will be a host of gold-seekers plowing the ever piling leaves of generously settled parks all over this gorgeous city. I will be one of them. Walking decidedly under the shade of reds and golds and yellows and browns whose clever existence masks the gray of the fall sky, it will be my pleasure to fulfill one of my dreams. See a season so different from what I always knew, and capture the scenes in what some believers think is the ultimate camera: ones own eyes. It will be awesome, I can tell. I will be lugging around my trusty camera, too. Just for the sake of showing proof of my existence in the midst of all the happiness of Fall in Nihon. The weather will get better. No rain days on end will plague where I live. It will cooperate. So much so that it forces me in a sort of fashion because it will be perfect. And then I will bring with me a book to read under the beauty of nature. An epic scene only seen in movies and brochures. Yet I believe actually happens in the quirky world that is Tokyo. For every image you see of Tokyo be it on tabloids, on the internet, or what people say, is in every sense of it, Tokyo. No pretensions No exaggerations. I will see this world for my time here is limited. I will make lasting memories here. And I will keep that in mind.
